We cant stop dancing here at Drumkeerin NS.
We’ve had ceilĂ dance classes for Seachtain na Gaeilge.
We’ve been dancing at 10 every day of Active Week and held a Disco on the yard for the whole school.

We have introduced a huge variety of games, obstacle courses, exercise challenges and initiatives into our PE strand including  – The Daily Mile, 10 @ 10, Climb the Heights and the 12 days of Fitness.

This year we participated in a brand new hurling initiative with the help of the Leitrim Sports Partnership, to introduce hurling to primary schools in Leitrim. We all really enjoyed learning the skills and look forward to participating in a Leitrim Primary Schools blitz in the future.

Soccer and GAA

Soccer and GAA are hugely popular in our school. Every year we enter the Mini 7’s soccer blitz, enter a boys and girls team into the North Leitrim Cumann na mBunscol and take part in after school soccer.

Rugby & Tennis

The children from 3rd – 6th really enjoyed taking part in Rugby training. They participated in a Rugby World Cup Blitz.

We have also been very busy with tennis training with Tim.
